Dear Laura,
Wordfest 2008 was being within poetry as community, dialogue, coming into being, and a lasting experience. Cultural language and its depth is never abstract or fleeting but is always lasting and solid in the way that life is lasting, no matter what. That's what I like about Wordfest: it is lasting, no matter what.
All best,
Simon Ortiz
